Studio

Outside the studio is my photography storage shed booth. I shoot there on bright overcast days. It’s very handy because all I have to do is open the door and shoot.

My space is small so I had to be creative with shelving. Ikea trolleys and picture frame shelves hold my paints and glues. The sewing machine is always ready for paper or fiber projects.
Behind the curtain and by the rear entrance is my vented paint booth. Having two doors is nice in the spring and summer for air flow.
In 2020 I converted my original studio into an rental apartment and enlarged a tiny workshop into a 200sq.foot studio. I use covered outdoor shelving and storage sheds to hold supplies and vintage items for resale.

Here’s the Orange Door Studio, where I face my fears and sometimes make magic. It can be rather a mess sometimes but it’s a cozy little haven. I will periodically write in this space about what happens there.

May 19, 2021

Winter is over and now I can stop getting up in the dark to turn on the heat in the studio. My goal for the summer is to drag out all the wood and metal assemblage pieces and make some assemblage art.
